JWPA is building a structured mentorship program exclusively for member physicians — connecting women doctors across specialties and career stages for ongoing guidance, peer community, and career support.
Mentorship is at the core of what JWPA was built to do. Every woman physician — whether she's in her first year of practice or a 20-year attending — benefits from a community of peers and mentors who understand exactly what she's navigating.
JWPA Mentorship Circles will create that community in a structured, intentional way. Exclusively for JWPA member physicians, the program will connect women across career stages and specialties for ongoing conversations, guidance, and support.
The program is currently being developed by Dr. Nahar and the JWPA leadership team. If you're a member interested in participating — as a mentor, a mentee, or both — register your interest below and we'll reach out when the program launches.
Circles will span specialties intentionally — so a GI fellow learns from a surgeon, and a medical student hears from a pediatrician and a hospitalist.
Circles will be ongoing relationships — not a single meeting or event. The goal is sustained community, not a checkbox.
The program will be exclusive to active JWPA members — a meaningful benefit of being part of the community.
JWPA will provide conversation frameworks and resources so circles have direction — not just open-ended meetings with no agenda.
